if today would be the last day

if today would be the last day of my life, i would like very much to spend it with you. we'd go to this beach i've been to long long time ago during a holiday with mum and dad.
it's really nice; it's on the south east side of australia, 3 hours down from melbourne. there, we'd pick one of the b&b's facing the 2 lane road that borders the start of the sandy bay and the inland. it would be white and have blue roofs. it won't have to be posh, but it must be comfortable; with green curtains, tied back so that from the window, we'd have a clear view of the sea tossing in.
we'd walk barefoot along the beach and leave footprints in the sand. we'd draw cheesy pictures in the sand, you know, those '___ love ___' prints with hearts and arrows crossing them out. we'd walk to the end of the bay. it's long, believe me, it stretches as far as the eye can see, but i'd want to walk it with you. we would hold hands and laugh and talk about the first time we met, we always love talking about that. we'd talk about the perfect moments that have marked our relationship. we'd talk about the memories till tears flow down our cheeks. knowing that eternity on earth and the invincibility of youth is but a figment of our imagination. we'd kneel on the sand and pray. And i would pray to see you again in heaven. i'd hold your hands so tightly that our fingers would turn white.
i'd attempt to pay you back for the kisses that i never gave you and the moments that i could have spent with you. i'd make rhymes and alliterations and laugh at your exasperation. i know you'd never catch me; but i know i will let you… that i will feel alive knowing that you'd hit me and vent your frustration of me on me. And we would collapse in helpless laughter.i'd hug you and tell you that you mean the world to me. i would shout it to the sea and tell it to you in your face.
and before the last ray of sun disappears over the horizon and as the waves incessantly beat the shore, i will leave you with no doubt of the love He has given me for you.
